We always suggest to cater for the group as a whole rather than selecting your main choices on a few guests.
Why is this you may ask?
Many catering menus we provide include vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free options, however what about vegan, nut allergies and Celiac.
Much of this can depend on the style of service you are having. I say this as we can limit and separate catering options for many styles of service. Share Platter style of service may require those with special dietary requirements to have the chef individually plate a meal to ensure no cross-contamination, especially guests with Celiac disease.
We will look after all your guests to the best of our training and ability.
Many dietary requirements will be confirmed with RSVPs, let us know on initial enquiry if you know however we are happy to work with you along the way to ensure all guests are catered for safely.

Catering for your Wedding, corporate event or party can be a fun process. Cocktail style, formal sit-down or a mix of both? Catering can be tailored to suit your ideas, tastes, location and guest numbers.
Finger Foods are the perfect option for service at the beginning of your event. Platters can be walked around directly to guests with a Graze Table for that second access point for catering. No worry about missing out while socialising and let's face it guests can be hungry at weddings and events!
Talk & Fork is a continuation of Finger Foods / Canapes offering a cocktail style of service. Platters of individually plated Mini Meals are walked around for guests to enjoy - no seating required. This is perfect for social events or where seating is limited.
So your event has begun and you would like to have guests seated, what catering style is suited for this? Alternate Drop, Share Platters and Gourmet Buffets are the main catering styles. Each option differs and really comes down to personal choice and the style of your event.
Gourmet Buffets and Share Platters offer guests the best of both worlds with plenty of catering options for all guests. Share Platters are served directly to guest tables, if you would like to offer more choice and don't mind guests leaving their seats buffets are worth looking at.
Alternate Drop is the most traditional option for catering, it can also be the most formal. Guests are served an alternate meal, usually chicken or beef and an alternate dish for those with dietary requirements.

Parties and celebrations happen on the Sunshine Coast year round however if you are planning a function in the cooler months we have some delicious catering options for you and your guests.
Our handmade Spring Rolls are a delicious Fingerfood that is hot and delicious and freshly cooked onsite. This is a great option along with a selection of hot Fingerfoods including Calamari, Skewers, Sliders and all those yummy filling options to warm your guests.
Chicken Curry or our Vegetable Jungle Curry with steamed rice is a very popular dish as a Talk & Fork option or to add to your Gourmet Buffet.

Is a Buffet or a Sit-Down dinner more expensive? Can the wedding cake be used or should we have other desserts also?
Catering can be a large portion of your budget depending on your preferred choices. While a Buffet is a Sit Down dinner service guests will be asked to come to the buffet to make their own meal. Plated Dinners and Share Platters offer service to guests at their tables. While the cost per person may only vary slightly on your selected menu, additional staff will be required for the service and clearing to follow. Why do I need more staff for a plated meal? Service levels can vary for each function, the level of service required will depend on the number of staff required.
Desserts...yummy...while some guests can't wait to have dessert and ask to take one home for their children, it is not always everyone's favourite course. Desserts can be your Wedding Cake, separate dessert or maybe you would like to have a donut wall or cheese platter. Anything is possible these days. We do cater for wedding receptions that have wedding cake as well as plated desserts, some don't have desserts at all. We recommend having some dessert or sweet option for guests. Even if it is a nice cookie for Grandma to have with her cup of tea. She will appreciate it!
If I want something different for my catering, can I have a custom menu for my event? When do you need my deposit?
Catering for your event is a personal choice and only you know what you would like to have. We have had many requests from additional items to the menu to a complete style working in with special events or themes. If you have ideas or personal favourites let us know, we are happy to help.
Jason our chef has been classically trained and has a extensive knowledge base for specific requests. Our menus online are our most popular selections however we know each event is unique and personal.
From Cocktail style to Sit Down Dinners we have had many requests. American Themed Event? Menu that is completely Gluten Free? Mexican style staff party? Large graduation event for students that require numerous dietary requirements? No problems, we have you covered. These are just some of the questions we receive and can tailor options to suit you, your guests and the style of event you are organising.
Looking for individual boxed dinners or large morning tea with yummy sweets and savoury options, corporate events are welcome and happy to tailor our menus to suit.We work with you to ensure the menu is complimentary for all guests.
To secure a booking a deposit is required, this is generally around 25% and locks in your booking date. You are welcome to contact us at any time to assist with planning, additional questions or changes to your booking.
What is the estimated cost of catering for my function on the Sunshine Coast and are there any extra charges not included in the menu price?
We include a price per person for each menu on our website for our catering services however additional charges also apply. As a mobile caterer we travel to your location or choice of venue location. A Travel & Booking Fee is applied, this will vary depending on the location as we cater the whole Sunshine Coast and beyond.
Additional Staff are quoted to suit your event. Some styles of catering are designed to be self service with staff required for setup and cleanup however others including Finger Food, Talk & Fork, Share Platter and Alternate Drop are designed with full service which does require additional staff.

Staff are organised through an external agency so let us know your needs and can provide a quote, this can vary for catering and bar services, the number of guests onsite, date of function (public holidays and Sunday have a surcharge applied) and the location and travel required.

Talk & Fork Catering is a cocktail style of service which doesn't require formal seating. Guests can walk around and socialise while enjoying our catering as Finger Foods and Talk & Fork Mini Meals are walked around to guests to enjoy. No seating required.
It is always nice to have seating available for guests, especially for parents or grandparents or mothers with children.
We ask if you can provide 1-2 tables and cloths for our catering service, depending on the location and number of guests. While platters are walked around it is always great to have a secondary point of food for guests.
It is always beneficial to have bins and bin liners available where guests will be, there is always rubbish and this helps guests and staff to keep the area clean throughout the service. A separate bin for bar rubbish including recyclable bottles is also recommended.
