Wedding Trends 2018 - Styling
As the weather starts to warm up we are seeing a boom in enquiries for 2019 Weddings, while the majority of these are for June and September wedding celebrations are year round on the Sunshine Coast.
2018 was largely influenced with vintage styling with soft touches of lace and hessian, beautiful flowers and the backdrop of nature to provide a romantic setting. Weddings in 2019 seem to be trending with a similar styling with more and more brides adding their own personal touches to the wedding setup.
From rustic wooden centrepieces to cute glass bottles with cardboard straws we see a touch of old school elegance in the styling of wedding receptions. It is really beautiful to see pops of colour incorporated through the use of flowers from pastel pinks to romantic reds and beautiful blues with luscious foliage of green to create texture. Flowers are a great way to soften or brighten the styling to suit the season with Baby’s Breath a popular choice for whites.
The little touches we noticed more and more in 2017 and trending into 2018 are really beautiful from glass bottles wrapped in hessian and ribbon or lace with lashings of baby’s breath to rustic cutlery holders with personalised greeting cards.
We really enjoy incorporating the styling into the service of catering, it is beautiful to continue the textures and flowers onto a Gourmet Buffet or Grazing Table or presenting beautiful handmade savoury tarts in the centre of each plate ready for guests to enjoy once seated – perfect for Share Platters and formal seated dinners.
